Uncovered: Official Media Guide to supporting John McCain

Last year Liberty Maven uncovered the not so shocking Official Media Guide to Attacking Ron Paul. Now we have uncovered another document written by the “Main Stream Media Czar” that went out to all of the media outlets. Yet more proof that the media wants to decide your next President before you get a chance to even consider other options. The unedited text of the secret document is below.
Congratulations fellow media channel owners and propagandists. We have been extremely successful in our previous smear campaign to marginalize Ron Paul. Sure, he has picked up a lot of money and support, but it hasn’t translated into any real caucus or primary wins. It is important that we continue the marginalization of Ron Paul while pushing our love and adoration of John McCain. What follows are some foolproof tactics to use on our ignorant viewers to turn them into mindless voters for John McCain.
Label him a “straight talker”. McCain enjoys calling himself a straight talker. We must push this idea as well. Even if he contradicts himself all the time as he has done with the Iraq war, not supporting the Bush tax cuts, etc.. After all anyone who calls himself a straight talker all the time has nothing to hide. Why should we not believe him?
Call him a maverick candidate. We know the only true maverick candidate is Ron Paul and we used that to our advantage in attacking him. With John McCain though we can frame the maverick image into a positive. While we call Ron Paul a maverick meaning fringe and unelectable. We call McCain a maverick meaning he bucks the establishment in DC and isn’t part of it. Never mind that he’s been an elected official in DC for over 25 years and talks about using his “circle of friends” as advisors.
Never mention the Keating 5 allegations. McCain became caught up in the Savings and Loan scandal in the 1980s. He received over $100K in donations from Charles Keating while Keating was being investigated for financial regulatory irregularities. We can’t play this up because McCain apologized for his involvement and we should take him at his word.
Play up his military service. Everyone loves a hard luck story. McCain was tortured as a POW in Vietnam which he survived. This story resonates with everyone. Ignore the facts presented on the web site VietnamVeteransAgainstJohnMcCain.com. Facts that reveal he was responsible for the deaths of fellow Americas in Vietnam and he conspired with his captors to the detriment of his fellow captured servicemen.
Don’t talk about his temperament. Even though McCain has a history of adultery and a hot temper, ignore it. While his first wife was recovering from a car accident McCain sought solace in the arms of another woman whom he later married. He has a checkered history of losing his temper and making bigoted, ageist, or racist remarks about others. Most recently he dressed down Senator Cornyn over the immigration bill last year. He is quoted as saying, “Fuck you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room” to Cornyn. Whatever you do don’t talk about his temper, at least until after his nomination.
Go light on his immigration bill. It’s impossible to look unbiased if we don’t at least bring up his push of the amnesty-laden immigration bill he was touting last year, so just brush it off after mentioning it. Don’t ask any follow up questions once he explains his new belief that we must secure the borders first. Other candidates can be accused of flip-flopping, but not him.
Don’t mention his age or health. Sure he’s an old guy and has had skin cancer in the past, but we must not harp on this issue. We need to have something to smear him with once he gets the Republican nomination. Keep his age and health under wraps for now.
Warmonger or war strategist? Even though he continually drums the beat for more wars and staying in Iraq for 100 years, we must look at him as a noble strategist on the war on terror. Never mind that most Americans want us out of Iraq. Save that attack for the general election.
Keeping these tactics secret is important. We must not let America know that we are doing are best to get a progressive socialist Democrat elected President. Helping get John McCain the GOP nomination will only help us in this effort. Even the conservative radio talk show hosts will be against McCain. It will destroy the Republican party. It will be beautiful.
As a follow up strategy it is time to ignore Ron Paul. If he were to become the GOP nominee our job would be very difficult in winning the White House for a Democrat. The more we ignore Ron Paul, the better chance we have. Either Romney, Huckabee, and especially McCain getting the GOP nod all but ensures us the White House later this year.
John McCain is our guy. Shout it from the rooftops. A vote for John McCain today is a vote for a Democrat in the general election.
Sincerely Yours,
The Main Stream Media Czar
