Feelgood,

You are distorting his views. Ron Paul himself has stated that the government failed with respect to Hurricane Katrina.

A 90% Ron Paul Republican is about 70% better than what we have today in Congress.

We aren't going to agree with all candidates on every issue all the time. Searching for that kind of purity in politics is a losing proposition.

I'm not entirely sure who the author of this article is, however they should be a bit more careful with their endorsements. Though Brent is close, he is not a Ron Paul Republican. If you view his own website, he blames the government for not taking care of Katrina victims. This very statement, is that of a "nanny state" type mentality, which goes entirely against what Ron Paul believes in.

I have already taken steps to get Brent to realize this thinking is wrong, and why. I'm hopeful that in time, he will reconsider his position and realize, it is not the governments responsibility to take care of us. I believe that he is allowing his own personal bias on this issue, to cloud his judgment. Since he is from Louisiana, and saw so much of what happened first hand, he probably is not thinking clearly. I am confident, however in time, he will come to realize that, though Katrina was a real tragedy, it was not our government that let them down, nor was it our governments responsibility to take care of them.
