Iran Declares War on the Dollar = More War for America

“Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” - John McCain. America gears up for another Hitler blitzkrieg. And Fu** your Yellow Ribbon.

(Originally posted April 30th here http://www.nolanchart.com/article3626.html)

The dollar has completely been removed from our oil trade ….Crude oil customers have agreed with us to use other currencies (in the trade),” Iran’s Oil Ministry official Hojjatollah Ghanimifard earlier today, although Iran had stopped selling oil in dollars in December 2007. America replied today by moving another aircraft carrier into the Persian Gulf, ostensibly not for further bombings of Iraqis. Asked if the carrier move went hand in hand with the rising U.S. rhetoric against Iran, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said, I don’t see it as an escalation. I think it could be seen, though, as a reminder

Preemptive warring against Iran will further secure Israel’s security and possibly America’s oil supply, both goals of which I reject as they just seem to be missing from the Constitution. The attack should secure the World versus America/Israel, possibly not a bad thing right now, as we continue attacking whichever country in the region at our pleasure. There is NO “AL-QAEDA” in Iran, they DO NOT HAVE nukes or “weapons of mass destruction.” And even if they did, or are trying, who could possibly blame them with a massive occupational army-with-their-deaths-written-all-over-it next door? And why aren’t we trying diplomacy? My expectations of my own country talking instead of threatening is very low, but how about China, Russia, Europe? Will they just let us have our way? Just like Chamberlain, Stalin, and Daladier let Hitler have his way.

Viewpoint

After the attack, America will be finally exposed as no better than Hitler’s attacks on Iran-Poland and Iraq-Czechslovakia. Our leaders will all be war criminals (or just committing another war crime, as you like). Our entire Congress, minus the Representative from Texas and a select few others, will need replacement. I voice doubt that there will even BE a vote of any type in Congress this time around, so powerless and spineless are the Pelosi Democrats of 2006 and the Bush die-hards.

Originally published March 30, 2008 in We the People Warn The Time for America’s War with Iran Has Arrived

On March 20th America’s FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) issued a warning to the world banking system to shut out “all banks domiciled in Iran, and their branches and subsidiaries abroad.” The advisory goes on to charge Iran with state-sponsored terrorism: “Iran’s anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism deficiencies are exacerbated by the Government of Iran’s continued attempts to conduct prohibited proliferation relation activity and terrorist financing.”[1,2] This is backed by the March 3rd UN Security Council Resolution 1803 to punish Iran for alleged nuclear bomb efforts.[3] This builds on the FinCEN October 2007 advisory charging Iran is responsible for “money laundering, terrorist financing and weapons of mass destruction proliferation financing.”[4] The WMD allegation is reminiscent of the lies told prior to invading Iraq and is conspicuously missing in the March advisory. This is most likely due to the November 2007 National Intelligence Estimate published by the US Director of National Intelligence that assesses “with moderate confidence Tehran had not restarted its nuclear weapons program as of mid-2007″[5] - the NIE was just a minor speed bump for the Bush administration.

Remember, our naïve Bush Global War on/of Terror policy to other nation-states is you are either ‘With Us or Against Us.’ Now Europe, China, Russia and all other countries can choose sides.

Also remember Osama Bin Laden of Al-Qaeda has not been spotted in either Iran, Iraq, or Israel yet for that matter!

However, this is the just the international version of the domestic Clinton Iran sanctions of 1997 (Executive Orders 13059, 12957, 12959) “confirming that virtually trade and investment activities with Iran by US persons, wherever located, are prohibited.”[6] (Off topic but I was heartened to see the USA did slightly ease the sanctions in 2000 to allow US Citizens to purchase Persian rugs, dried fruit, and caviar.)

The administration’s drumbeat for more war was arrogantly restated by Vice President Cheney on the 5th Anniversary of the Iraq invasion on March 19th, and more diplomatically by Ms. Perino from the White House on March 20th, although the questions pertained to the Iraq surge (a “major success” per Cheney) instead of Iran. The video below is worthwhile.[7]

ABC Reporter: “Two-thirds of Americans say it’s not worth fighting.”

Vice President Cheney: “So?”

ABC Reporter: “So? You’re not – You don’t care what the American people think?”

Vice President Cheney: “No…”

The “Surge” has disintegrated into hundreds more Iraqi sectarian and American deaths since, pushing the American soldier death toll to 4,007 and an estimated over 1 million Iraqi dead.[8,9]

The foreign policy ‘expert’/interventionalist Brzezinski, architect of the Soviet-Afghan War during the Carter administration[10] and advisor to a major Democratic presidential candidate, (while calling for an end to the Iraq war, which I applaud) stated to the US Senate in February 2007:

“If the United States continues to be bogged down in a protracted bloody involvement in Iraq, the final destination on this downhill track is likely to be a head-on conflict with Iran and with much of the world of Islam at large. A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a “defensive” U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.” [11]

So perhaps the next step is either launching of direct hostilities or a terrorist attack that the US can blame Iran for. Perhaps even tantamount to the 1933 Reichstag burning, a “false flag” attack that Hitler staged to sieze control of the German government.[12] (For those unfamiliar with the term, a “false flag” attack or false story is used by one side against another to take control of events, or provide an excuse for aggression. One hypothetical example would be: during nation X and Y peace talks, government X colludes to ultimately attack itself, blaming the government Y. The reasoning is the attack, while harmful to X, will give rise to a “greater good” as X can now righteously take action against government Y. Former US MI Captain May has an article here for more thoughts.[13])

As I have stated in other articles below, the actions against Iraq but also Iran and Afghanistan violates the Constitution of the United States of America, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 as only Congress has the right to declare War.[14]

One last thought is the resignation of CENTCOM Admiral Fallon (supreme commander of all troops in the Middle East) on March 11th is rumored to be due to the nixing of a Fallon-brokered peace plan to withdrawal from Iraq and establish peace with Iran.[15] Ironically the Iranian, Russian, and Chinese parts of the alleged deal may have completed by the unanimous agreement to the March 3rd UN sanctions referred to at the top of this article.[3]

I call for immediate withdrawal of all United States Armed Forces from Iraq and Afghanistan, and a declaration of non-aggression towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and all other countries of the world. I call for the issuing of a Letter of Marque to seek out and detain Osama Bin Laden for the American deaths of 9/11 and aboard the USS Cole.

Next, my recommendations

1 - Watch Ron Paul’s speak on Foreign Policy and the job of the Commander-in-Chief here. [link edited for length] He accurately explains how to “change the world within weeks” by withdrawing all troops from Iraq and warns of the upcoming attacks on Iran.

2 - Join DownsizeDC.org. Use [link edited for length] to contact your Representative and Senators and Stop an Attack on Iran. Check out the site for other causes, such as stopping National ID, and their signature idea “Read the Bills Act” to require that every bill be read into the public record before its voted on.

Lastly, the idea I promised to win the Presidency.

Although the presidential campaigns of Mike Gravel and Ron Paul continue, I propose that they look ahead and discuss mounting a backup campaign with other Voices for Freedom such as Jesse Ventura, Dennis Kucinich, and Michael Scheuer. Sort of a Founding Fathers Part Deux – without a team effort, there are questionable-at-best chances that any of these individuals by themselves would succeed against the MSM-blessed, “top tier” candidates. For the record, I would also choose fellow Nolan Chart columnists Jahfre Fire Eater, Jake Morphonios (no relation), and John Armstrong to represent myself on this team.

Think this a good idea? Or just don’t want a war with Iran? Feedback, positive or negative, is always welcome.

Peace!

I remember the Cheney comment, I don’t see how the President could justify attacking Iran at this juncture in the economy. A friend of mine was telling me that the military goes through a million gallons of oil a day for its activities, just imagine if they were home, where that oil could go.

Hopefully congress/senate won’t be easily fooled by the GOP this time round.
